Paint the Town – Friday, May 23

Join us for a fun evening of Art, Food, Music, Raffles, and Auctions to help raise funds for youth art projects in the area!  Feature Presentation by Tom Smart – expert on the Group of Seven and past Director of the McMichael Canadian Collection.  

  • Meet Tom and enjoy his take on Canadian Art and the Group of Seven.  
  • Watch Local Artists Catherine Weber, Randy & Suzanne Jones and Carleen Hone as they create artworks during the evening to be auctioned at the end of the evening.  
  • Enjoy Live Music by The Shrieking Twigs (Celtic Band) and Clara Stegall
  • Delicious Local Hors D’Oeuvres and Beverages from the Cash Bar
  • Raffle prizes and amazing Art for Auction

Event Preview!   From May 15 – 22, visit the Artisan’s Market in the South Huron Welcome Centre or the Exeter Public Library for a preview of some of the items to be auctioned and raffled at the Paint The Town event.  Below are some pictures of a Unique Birdhouse created for this event by a Local Artist:  This is “Bird Bank” by Lynn Haygarth.  There will be other birdhouses by local artists – all very different and creative.

Join Us to Welcome Spring at the Welcome Centre for an Opening Reception Tomorrow night!  Defy Winter’s last gasp and come enjoy some great art, refreshments and good company tomorrow (Tuesday, April 15) from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

Visit the Paint Ontario Art Competition, Exhibition & Sale which runs daily from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Lambton Heritage Museum on Highway 21 just south of Grand Bend.  (museum entry fees apply).
